NEWMARK SERVICES:

Newmark helped Ricoh transform its North American real estate platform, expanding from regional brokerage support into a full-service, multi-country partnership.
Situation
Ricoh first retained Newmark in 2013 as its regional brokerage provider for the Southeast United States. In 2016, the relationship expanded when Ricoh awarded Newmark its full national portfolio. In 2018, Newmark was further awarded facilities management, lease administration, project management and workplace services that had previously been performed in-house.
The partnership continued to grow in 2024 when Newmark went live with services for Ricoh Canada, expanding the portfolio by 19 locations and 240,000 SF. Newmark now supports a broader North American platform with services aligned across the United States and Canada.
Through transaction execution, portfolio reduction and service expansion, Newmark has helped Ricoh reduce real estate spend, improve productivity and support changing business needs across a distributed portfolio.
Outcome
Newmark completed nearly 100 transactions across 26 states, generating more than $1M in annual savings. In 2019, the team reduced Ricoh’s real estate footprint by more than 200,000 SF and achieved approximately $3.2M in cost avoidance. Across the broader partnership, Newmark reduced Ricoh’s portfolio square footage by 36%, completed 12 to 30 transactions annually as volumes changed and generated more than $6M in annual income improvements through occupancy savings under the current contract.
